A few quick notes:
After whirlwind trips to Chicago and California, Donna and I are delighted to be back in the saddle this Sunday. Hope you can join us!
In case you hadn’t noticed, Summer began on Thursday. During this hot season, we’re delighted to offer an audio-visual indoor worship experience inside the Buffalo Chip for those who, for health or comfort reasons, prefer to be indoors. Many of us find that the combination of shade, fans, and misters provides enough coverage so that we can still enjoy our beautiful outdoor worship setting. But if you prefer the indoors, we’ve got you covered!
Good SAM Sunday (Share-a-Meal)
On the last Sunday of each month (tomorrow night!), it is our privilege to serve a meal to our homeless friends at Mouer Park (on Curry west of Scottsdale Rd). Meet us there at 4:45 p.m. We serve a delicious meal at 5:00 for 40 to 70 people, and are able to return home by 5:40. Reply to this email to get more information, or just show up and help! It’s a great way to obey the words of Jesus, who said, “Whatever you have done for the least of these my brothers, you have done for me” (Matthew 25:34-40).
July 3: Independence Day Celebration and Movie Night
Whether or not Cave Creek has fireworks, everyone is invited to our home to enjoy our annual old-fashioned “3rd of July” church picnic. We provide meat, you bring fix’ns, and we’ll show a summer-time family movie on an outdoor screen in the comfort of our backyard. RSVP not necessary, but appreciated, in order to make certain we have enough food. Call/text (480) 510-9518, or simply reply to this email. We live at 6540 E Military Rd, right near the corner of Cave Creek and School House Road.
That’s it! See you Sunday.
