Hope you’re hungry! We’ve got two special “eatin’ events” in the next week.
Sunday Morning: Breakfast at the Chip
It’s July 1 this Sunday, and you know what that means: complimentary breakfast after our 9:00 worship hour. Don’t miss it! The Chip always does a fantastic job of serving a great cowboy breakfast for us every month. It’s an opportunity to get to know our growing church family while enjoying a delicious meal — and a perfect Sunday to invite a friend to experience the casual cowboy atmosphere of Church at the Chip.
Stop the Presses: Ribs and Chicken at this year’s July 3 Picnic
Whether or not Cave Creek has fireworks, everyone is invited to our home to enjoy our annual old-fashioned “July 3rd” celebration on Tuesday evening at 6:00. We provide meat (It’s gonna be ribs and chicken this year!), you bring fix’ns, and we’ll show a summer-time family movie on an outdoor screen in the comfort of our backyard. This year we’ll break our baseball movie tradition and show the classic fable about “true love”: Princess Bride. (Don’t worry, guys: it’s a fun movie.)
Please let us know if you are planning to come so that we can make sure we have enough food. Call/text (480) 510-9518, or simply reply to this email. We live at 6540 E Military Rd, right near the corner of Cave Creek and School House Road.
We had a beautiful service on Sunday morning as we sent off Rob Rugloski and his family for their missionary work in Thailand. (Yes, Rob is Bryan’s brother.) Rob, Carol, and their three youngest children will be serving there for the next three years. It is our privilege to offer prayer and financial support for them while they work to establish a training center which will train Thailand pastors and pastors from several nearby closed countries so they can be equipped for effective ministry in their local communities.
I’m proud to be part of such a generous church family. Just like the church in Antioch (which we talked about on Sunday), you understand that following Jesus makes us part of a worldwide family. As such, it is our privilege to serve the poor, to plant churches, and send servant missionaries in Jesus’ name — all of which we do here at Church at the Chip. God bless you. It is an honor to serve you.
With love and gratitude,
