Thanksgiving Eve Service

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

This Wednesday night (Nov. 21) at 6:30 p.m., it will be our privilege to participate in the Community Thanksgiving Eve Service sponsored by the Foothills Caring Corps.

The Cowboy Worship Band will sing our personalized version of Amazing Grace. It’s one of our favorite songs here at Church at the Chip, and we’re excited to share it with the wider Cave Creek community. In addition, Pastor Steve will join several other area pastors in sharing a 5 minute message on Thanksgiving and Grace. (Yes, 5 minutes!)

It’s going to be a great evening, and a fantastic way to honor Jesus this Thanksgiving season. After all, when Jesus prayed, “that they may be one even as we are one,” in John 17, he wasn’t praying for within a single local church, right? Rather, it was for the collective unity of his worldwide family. “One flock, one shepherd,” he said in another place.

The church of Jesus is meant to be a unified family in the midst of a divided world. Thanksgiving eve is a perfect time for our churches to demonstrate to the community that, despite our differences, our common faith in Jesus Christ makes us one big family. So, come join the family get-together at 6:30 this Wednesday evening at Desert Mission Church on Dixileta just east of Scottsdale Road.

Happy Thanksgiving!
