Church Administrative/Operations Assistant
Position Title: Administrative/Operations Assistant
Purpose of position: To assist the Pastor in accomplishing the ministry objectives of our church family
Reports to: The Senior Pastor
Relates closely with: The Pastor, the Pastor's Leadership Team, and Ministry Team leaders
Primary Responsibilities
a. Administration
i. Manage the Church Database (Breeze & MailChimp), keeping it up-to-date, following up on Info Card address changes, prayer requests, etc., and maintaining church records.
ii. Communications: Prepare weekly bulletin and work closely with the social media assistant as it relates to church website and podcasts, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages.
iii. Financial record-keeping and reporting
b. Operations
i. Lead Sunday morning ministry teams. Recruit, manage, and resource Sunday morning ministry teams: (includes Video, Audio, Hospitality, Scripture Readers, Prayer, Welcome Table, and Kids Corral, etc.. Excludes music)
ii. Coordinate special church events: (includes holiday services, Preachers' BBQ Fiesta Parade, and occasional special events and church-wide activities)
c. Other tasks as assigned by the Pastor
Primary strengths/gifts/talents required:
Ability to work remotely and be available as needed by phone or text
Intermediate computer & internet skills (neither expert nor novice)
A self-starter with the ability to see what needs to be done and do it with excellence
Ability to coordinate resources and responsibilities; capable of planning for anticipated events/projects as well as the unexpected.
Strong organizational skills, with a high level of accountability for quality and creativity, and a keen eye for aesthetics and details.
Ability to work with people, to delegate responsibility, to maintain a positive attitude, and to keep confidences
Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally, effectively communicating ideas and directives in a concise and positive style
Faithfulness to the ministry, vision and beliefs of Church at the Chip i, Seeks to be a growing Christian, and committed to honoring Christ in family, in work, and in ministry
Compensation: $2,500 monthly.
Approximate time required in position: 20-24 hours per week, including Sundays.
