Church Operations Assistant

  1. Position Title: Church Operations Assistant

  2. Purpose of position: To assist in accomplishing the ministry objectives of our church family by leading Sunday morning ministry teams and coordinating special church events

  3. Reports to: The Senior Pastor

  4. Relates closely with: The Leadership Team, the Administrative Team, and Ministry Team Leaders

  5. Primary Responsibilities:

    A. Lead Sunday morning ministry teams (includes recruiting, managing and resourcing the following teams: Video, Audio, Hospitality, Scripture Readers, Prayer and Mission Spotlight. Excludes music)

    B. Coordinate special church events
    (includes holiday services, Preacher's BBQ, Fiesta Parade, occasional special events and church-wide activities)

    C. Be available to pinch hit for the Administrative Assistant when needed

    D. Other tasks as assigned by the Pastor

  6. Primary Requirements:

    A. Ability to work remotely and be available as needed by phone or text

    B. Intermediate computer & internet skills (neither expert nor novice)

    C. A self-starter with the ability to see what needs to be done and do it with excellence

    D. Ability to coordinate resources and responsibilities; capable of planning for anticipated events/projects as well as the unexpected.

    E. Strong organizational skills, with a high level of accountability for quality and creativity, and a keen eye for aesthetics and details.

    F. Ability to work with people, to delegate responsibility, to maintain a positive attitude, and to keep confidences

    G. Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally, effectively communicating ideas and directives in a concise and positive style

    H. Faithfulness to the ministry, vision and beliefs of Church at the Chip

    I. Seeks to be a growing Christian, and committed to honoring Christ in family, in work, and in ministry

  7. Compensation: $1,200 monthly

  8. Approximate time required: 10-12 hours per week, including Sunday mornings from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.
